my car will not pass inspection. it has had this issue since last september and its been at a shop for the past 2 months! basically the car will not connect to the inspection computer yet it will connect to every single other computer and my sct xcal works perfectly. i have checked all of the fuses for the power port and everything. I cannot simply just put a stock tune back on my car because i have a s-trim with lots of other stuff like converted to blow thru maf. one of my lastest ideas this could be a bad firmware on the device since xcal is sf3 for the old ones or something like that. Any advice or ideas will be appreciated,

Will a standard ODB scanner connect?

In the fuse panel its fuse 31 (5a). If that checks out, try checking the actual ODB connector

The only other thing that occurs to me would be to closely examine the OBD2 connector and make sure all the pin sockets are undamaged.

It may be that the inspection station's connector is well worn and not making proper contact?

Pins 2 and 10 are the SCP bus + and -, pin 16 is V+, and pins 4 and 5 are ground; make sure that both are connected to ground by checking directly back to the battery negative terminal.
