Default crankshaft position senor

i have the steeda crankshaft position sensor setup and i dont know what to do about it..i took it off today and the pin in the back that lines it up with the crank keyway is broken off any suggestions?? should i go back stock??? is there any advantages to this setup?? is this the reason for my redline to only be at 3 or 4 grand?? and huge power loss?? thanks in advance

i forgot to mention what its doing... i line it up with the crankshaft keyway "i took a magic marker and drew a line on the crank pulley and the position wheel" and when i rev the car to 5 grand and let it idle back down it dies!! so i popped the hood and looked and my lines where off by a inch or 2.. so i tightened everything back up and it did it again i even added a lock washer to it and it just will not stay still!!! sorry for both post i'm new too this stuff i will get it together just be patient thanks everyone!!!

All it does is the same thing that can be done by changing the Global Spark Adder scalar in the tune. I would remove it, install the position sensor back where it is supposed to be, and buy a tuning system if you wish to adjust the base timing.

The locating pin is essential, even though the crank bolt is very tight when installed--the proper procedure has four steps:
