Default Alternative to cleaning IAC???

Hi, last year I posted on here about my car dieing when I push the clutch in while cruising...I got a reply that said to clean the IAC every couple of months. Well I've been doing that but want to know if there is a long term countermeasure to this problem? I have to clean the IAC at least once a month or my car will start dieing when I push my clutch in while deccelerating. Also if I go too long w/out cleaning it my rpms jump around all over the place while idling. Any input would be great, thanks.

Get a new one at rockauto.com for under a 100$ and be done with it.

Some have reported cleaning it successfully, however it most often ends up being at best a temporary fix...

Cleaning it just prolongs the inevitable. It just really sucks when it starts acting up if you drive a manual.
