Default 5.4 or 4.6

ok so i wanna do a rebuild on my mustang not nothing like a forged kit or nothing i just wanna make sure the motor is in good condition. ok so i have a 2000 mustang gt 4.6 (automatic) and a 2000 f350 (Automatic) with a 5.4 and the trucks body is in rough shape so i was wondering if i should use the 4.6 short block or the 5.4 short block? and if i use the 5.4 is it the same other then a bigger bore and if i use the 5.4 should i use the heads off the mustang or the f350? also would i use the flexplate off the f350 then if i use the bottom half of motor and the heads and intake off the mustang sorry im a noobie thanks for anyhelp

Negative... 2v PI heads are 2v PI heads regardless of their application.

The 5.4 doesn't have a larger bore, just a 1" longer stroke. Because of this, the intake manifold won't work from the mustang, but I also wouldn't recommend using the truck intake either. Look into the HPS hardball'r intake manifold. It's designed for a 5.4 2v swap into a mustang.
