Computer or what?

Computer or what?
The car is a 99gt auto, throttle body, gears, shift kit, chip, intake, forged motor, suspension, ..
Driving home last night the car jumped into neutral for some reason, then back into drive, then almost shut off. Kept driving, but when I would step on the gas it would almost instantly die. If I would "baby" the gas I could get the RPM up. The car was wanting to cut all power, and just die. When I tried to keep a constant speed, it would just seem like 3 cylinders were getting fuel, and the other ones weren't (Just because it kept wanting to die) Any Suggestions ? (HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt it's a spark plug, or boot, or coil pack, it was a different kinda problem..)
I was thinking, maybe computer is going (or is) bad.
Computer or another connection is loose.
Also when I have the AC on and going idle for a long period of time, my ALT gauge is just about half on the meter. So either my batter is going or my alt. When I have ac on for a while, then shut off, then restart it will have a low charge. ?!?! Doubt that is making the car want to shut off so viloently though.
Thanks for all the help/suggestions.

EDIT- I should also say that it was running fine when I got home, and also this morning. That's why I think it maybe a connection somewhere.

RE: Computer or what?
Well losing voltage will definetly effect the cars performance because you arent getting the spark to each cylinder that you're suppose to get. I would take the car to Advanced or AutoZone and have them test the altenator. Before you do that, look at all your grounds that lead off the battery and see if anything is loose. You may wanna look at your fuses also.

Not really sure. If it were the battery then it would have drained out completely and the car wouldnt run at all. If the ALT is being degraded in any way then that would affect the performance and if the ALT is working properly while not under a load the it would recharge the battery to a certain extent. Did you check the grounds and fuses?
