Default MPG test

Well with todays gas prices I need to get a better mileage out of my car.

Right now I get 21mpg (over the last 5 tanks) on average with me driving well behaved (mods: 4.10s, 75mm TB, C&L Plenum, Maganflow catted X and magnapack catback, and a diablo tune.)

I pulled my seats and my spare tire this weekend with a 1/2 tank left (weighed parts removed, 105lbs) When I filled up today mileage came out to 21.8 mpg best I have gotten in awhile.

I figure if I squeak out another 2mpg it will get me another day to work before filling.

I got a queen sized black flat sheet to cover up the bare steel. Doesn't look to bad and the exhaust sound different but not over powering. I did have to adjust my stero settings for the missing seats.

I'll know by friday if this even worked. I think it is going too. Loosing a 100lb dead body from the trunk should help.

Make sure your tire air pressures are exactly what the manufacturer requires.

They are up around 40psi, max for the tire is 52 I belive.

If what my SOTP meter told me, acceleration is slightly better and I already saw an increase in mpg on the 1/2 tank.

Will see. Doesn't look 1/2 bad. Don't even notice if you are walking by. The black sheet darkened the whole back of the car up and there isn't any room for passengers even with the seats in

I get weak mileage in my Cobra, so bad I don't even want to talk about it.

That's why since gas spiked, I've put 50 miles on her and thats it LOL

I'm all for MPG

You know, but, occasionally I have 2 or 3 people in the stang.

And it sometimes helps with women (because they often come in pairs - like ****) to have a back seat let alone a front seat...

Its all good, but I'll keep my seats and spair tire for the extra .8 mpg until we hit $4 a gallon. Then it might be worth it.

Well I am practically married, so a second girl is out[8D]

I can count how many times someone has sit back there. So big lose. The car really is a 2+2 car, meaning the 2nd set of seats is for insurance purposes. Cheaper to insure a 4 seater then a 2.

Well I picked up .8mpg on a 1/2 full tank. Meaning I used 21mpg for the first and 21.8 for the second, leading for my milage to be over 22mpg on a full tank. Will see.

Gas is 3.60 (93) right now for me. Close enough to try and squeak every little bit when I drive 70+ miles a day
