HELP! Cant get rotors off mustang GT
What do I need to do to get front rotors off a 2003 mustang GT. Tried lubrication and a nail hammer to smack it in the front and back nothing no budge. Any special technique to get them off?

confirm that the little clip that is used during assembly to hold the rotor on as it goes down the assy line is not there. it will be a little washer type thing that will be on one of the wheel studs. if it is there just grab needle nose pliers and rip it off. still having problem get a BFH and hit the damn thing

I used a BFH 25LBS sledge hammer, two wacks passengerside rotor is off. Now working on driverside let you all know how many wacks for driverside. Also car has 41000 miles on it. bought it 2 yrs ago with 34000 miles on it, but kept it in garage those 2 yrs. I went ahead and put anti seize the silver stuff on the passengerside will do the same for driverside and the rear brakes. I will let u all know how things r going 2morrow.

Okay got started late today on the rest of the brakes, still not done. The driverside front and rear rotors slid right off at 41000 miles keep in mine I bought car two years ago and never seen bad weather since I have own it. But I did still find rust around the spindles went ahead and sanded them both and put that silver stuff on which is anti seize stuff. Will let you all know 2morrow how my last rotor does on rear passengerside.

Got the last of my brake job done lastnite on the rear passenger side and that rotor just slid right off also so the only pounding with a BFH was on front passenger side and that was only two whacks and it was off. So in all wasn't to bad for a 41000 mile car to do brakes and rotors, the only pain was the rear caliper pistons had to go to autozone and use their loan a tool plan there and get a special tool for rear caliper pistons to screw them back into the caliper but all and all not to bad.
