So, I've found out that this part is bad. Went and bought a new one, does anyone know how to get to this thing? i.e. is it on the outside of the trans or is it in the shifter box on the trans?

I just did it the this morning. Blackvenom is spot on with the placement. Put the new one in and viola, back-up lights, on a side note, should the trans fluid be at least up to the hole on this thing?

@kugzgt its easy man. Jack the front up and put in on jack stands (I put mine under the spring perch area. And then its just a simple unplug, use a 7/8 open end wrench........A new one from your FLAPS is only about $20, don't know if ford's better, but for 20 bucks I don't care.
