No CEL, and I have figured out it is in fact the hole for the IAT sensor, BUT on my 02 this seems to be built into the MAF sensor, so I simply need to plug this hole.

My new problem is that the was a piece of a grommet that I guess was used before (with another piece) to plug this hole, but was brittle and broken off.
How likely is it that there is a small piece of dried rubber in my intake somewhere and how likely is it to be sucked into the motor? And I guess what will happen if it does?
And I have not been able to find a suitable plug for this hole. I saw somewhere someone used packing tape? Is this a suitable solution until I find a good plug?
