Default Rough Idle with aftermarket tb/plenum

I tried searching this but couldnt find any straightforward answers. I just bought a used BBK 75mm tb attached to a c&l plenum and installed it. I have a sct tuner and havent gotten the custom tune emailed to me yet but it now has a rough idle. It sticks around 1500 for about 5 seconds then drops to 6-800 and sounds like it is cammed or something. It drives ok just idles rough now. I double checked all the connections and they all seemed fine. Is this just a tuning issue or something else. The guy I bought it off of just took it off of his car today running fine. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

i just recently installed accufab throttle body & plenum, experienced no issues w/o a tune, idled fine, the only thing you can do now i guess is order the custom tune and hope for the best.

Did you unplug POS cable of battery for about 5-10 mins then reconnect\drive it so it could relearn?

You may need to re-initialise the throttle stop screw setting, here's is the procedure. This is supposed to be preset by the manufacturer however I have found that most aftermarket TBs are poorly or just plain improperly set.

I used Cliff's method above with a .010" feeler gauge on my old 04 GT and worked great.

id unplug the battery for 15 minutes and let the computer reset itself, the car still needs to "learn" the new mod. id start there.
