Default Looking to buy a 99 GT for mods(New Orleans)

I recently had a Mustang V6 but it was flooded in the hurricane down in New Orleans. I have a little money to play with from the insuranse agency but I am still in college upstate Louisiana. I want to swap the 99 Gt motor for a new more powerful motor, but I need to know what kind i should go which that would also work along with the chassis of the car. I was looking for an aluminum motor that would push out atliest 350 horses and also BRAND NEW! Please tell me the name of the motor and also where I can buy it. Again it will be going into a 99 Mustang GT. And also list all the mods I would need to make

it sounds like a LS1 to me. any one elss? i dont really know what motor you are looking for? how much do you have to spend? a new 03/04 Cobra motor is like 12,000, new motors are expensive. i got a used 2000 5.4 (50,000 miles) that i am rebulding. your best bet if you want good hp motor is maybe a Mach1 4.6 4V thats as all aluminum, you will need a 4V ECM. To make 350hp and a new motor will not be cheap.

When I get paid off by the insurance agency, I should get about 14,000 for the flooded V6 I had. i was thinking about a big block 351 but someone said i should get something alittle more lighter. Something Aluminum. What about an Ls2? How many mod's are needed?I plan on tricking it out with a body kit, lambo doors, indash tv, 2 woofers and a new paint job so i want to spend about 3500 on the engine and for it to be installed.

the motor you were describing sounded like a LS2, i odnt know if it is possable to put in a LS2, a ls2 is a chevy motor from a 98-02 F-body. it make 320hp. if you want to put a 351 in you might as well get a 94-95 theny have kits to put 351's in them i think. also isn't it illegal to put a older motor in a newer car? didn't the 351 change to a 5.8 and then they stop puting them in trucks like 96 or some thing so that would make it illegal to put it in a 96+ car right?
