It looks cool, thats for sure....I hope you don't plan to DD this thing (could be reliable, I know I wouldn't rely on it)

As for your shifter issue, I'd imagine that a auto shifter from a 94-95 GT would work. I think those had the AOD like he put in there.

Just curious, what are YOUR plans for this car?

Yeah he basically has set the car up for racing, that was his plans for the car. I ended up buying a B&M Hammer Shifter for it and I'm debating what I want to do with the exhaust of the car.

I'm just going to keep the 302 in it and sell the 545. Use the Mustang as a cruiser for the spring and summer.

I had bought an 83' in the fall and it was FAST, I don't even want to attempt to put all the mods it had, but I bought it for $4,000 on eBay and someone offered me $6,500 for it like two months later, so I couldn't really refuse that offer.

eBay is a great thing...

What computer is it running? Wiring? Does the gauge cluster work? If you want a cruiser you'd honestly be better putting a 4.6 back on it with factory wiring. Sell or trade for it.

Gauge Cluster and everything works. I'd rather keep the 5.0, that's most the reason I bought it.

Anyone have any suggestions on a switch panel for the mess of switches hanging out of the dash? I don't suppose they make something I could just buy as oppose to fabing something myself? Just the top hole is open.

(in case anyone missed the link the wires are shown in one of the pictures)

I'm curious about the logistics of this... How does the cluster work? It gets everything from the ECU, which is made for a 4.6L. Is the stock ECU running the 5.0L pushrod motor?? If so, how?

Sorry to say but you got robbed. Hope you can make your money back selling the BBF but it will be a long time before it sells. That thing is as far from a race car as a Prius. Stock 5.0 with every part the guy could find at Auto Zone. At least the body look to be in good shape. My advice is sell it since you have no clue what you're doing to get that to be a good running fast/respectable car.

But it's a "race car" :P

I stand by my original statement, that mechanically this car is chopped to bits. Looks like it's clean cosmetically, which is why I think you find an appropriate swap drivetrain (4.6L 2v, 4v, even a 5.4L 2v), stock-style computer, and make it back into a great street car.
