The past few days I've noticed that while up shifting, my rpms don't drop down as it should. The idle tends to stay at what ever rpm I'm at or go slightly higher (couple hundred rpm). On my way to school I noticed that when I was in gear and I took my feet off of both the clutch and gas, my car was slightly accelerating. I noticed that when I pressed the brake pedal, it was a little harder to stop like there was resistance. When I parked my idle was at 1800. I tried blipping the throttle and settle it down but it didn't work. Only after 30 seconds or so did the idle drop down to 1100, but it never went back to its normal idle rpm of 700-800. I had my iac replaced about 2 years ago. Is it my Maf? I tried to lift my gas pedal to see ifmit was stuck but that wasnt the case. What is it guys? I dont want to be driving to find out that I can't brake because of this. Thanks guys.
Check the voltage on it, its a mechanical spring loaded sensor as well , held in by two phillip screws if u take it off and the spring shot you usually can tell.
Mine does the same thing. The guy at the ford dealership says it's the computer doing it. If you get a chip it will fix it. I'm searching the forums right now to find out if that's true.
Myne has no codes.
