about your 11" clutch, how much was it and where did you get if from? and do they make it in a 8 bolt patern? i need a fly wheel for my 5.4 and its 8 bold my 4.6 is a 6 bolt so i was thinking about the 11" if they make it in 8 bolt, i think they do.

Im not sure if they make it for the 5.4 or not. Contact 5.0Resto and they will help you out. Thats where I got mine from.

H&R 1.5†progressive rate lowering springs
Monroe Sensatrac Fox body rear shocks
Blue Oval upper and lower control arms
FMS 4.10 gears
11†upgraded Ford racing clutch
Nitto 555R Drag Radials
That is it for suspension?[&:] No subframes, K-member, etc.?

Thumbs Up!

Thats it. The lowering springs were hurting me in that car also, but it still rode pretty good.

did those mac headers have a weird dent or two in them to clear the k-member? i just bought my 96' from a friend who put them in and i was taking them out because they leaked all the time, and i noticed the dents. i was going to sell them on ebay or something, but not if those dents aren't supposed to be there.

Nope, no dents. Someone used a hammer to get those in. LOL

Well... my opinion on first mods are kinda in between gears (4.10's or 4.30's) and tires OR full exhaust and UD pulleys. When I got my first mods done, it was LT headers, UD pulleys and timing adjuster, and a short throw shifter. I got into the car and it felt like it was a beast unleashed. THEN a month or two later I bought the 4.10's from MDValdosta and had them installed and words cant describe how they felt.

My best times in the quarter was 13.02 and 13.07, both with 1.89 short times. I know the car would have been in the 12's very easily with better tires, but it still took everything I had to launch the car on Nitto DRs and not roast the tires. When I went to Seguin in San An, I pulled a 1.84 short time in my GT on BFG's but had a HORRIBLE head wind and could only pull a 13.2?. I was really pissed. I was launchng at 5000 rpms and not spinning at all.

Here is a list of all the stuff I did to the car before I was rearended.

70mm Mac TB
85mm ProM MAM
Densecharger CAI
Steeda UD pulleys
Mac Ceramic Coated LT headers
Bassani O/R X pipe
Magnaflow Weld-in mufflers
Magnaflow 3.5†exhaust tips
Ported and Polished stock plenum
SCT Chip

H&R 1.5†progressive rate lowering springs
Monroe Sensatrac Fox body rear shocks
Blue Oval upper and lower control arms
FMS 4.10 gears
11†upgraded Ford racing clutch
Nitto 555R Drag Radials

Pro 5.0 Short throw shifter
Fan on/off switch
Mach 1 Grill Delete kit
Mach 1 Chin spoiler
What was your MPH on those runs?

105 mph on both.

Alright, well I plan to do all of my induction/exhaust first. Then I hope to do some suspension mods, and finally I will do H/C.

I should be low 12's with slicks.

Thanks for the list. Do you have any regrets on any mods? Any order changes you would make?

Thanks again.

No problem at all.

I would leave the TB and plenum alone and do that mod as he VERY LAST ONE. It doesnt show a large enough gain to spend that kind of money on it in the beginning. Instead if TB and Plenum... use that money on gears and tires.

The only mod I kind of regret doing in the weld-in mufflers. If I knew then what I know now, then I would have bought the whole catback. That stock 2 1/4 tubing probably caused enough back pressure to slow me down just .03 seconds to mak it in the 12's. I know I could have done it on slicks. You will have no problems.

Okay, I already have the TB from my car that got totaled, so I don't have to worry about that. I was thinking about getting side exhaust. Most of them are said to create backpressure and actually lose hp, yet steeda claims that their kit actually gives 1-2 hp more than flowmasters.

What do you think?

Thanks a lot for your replies too, helps a lot on what to do for a bolt on N/A car.

Ive never been a fan of side exhaust or Flowmasters but there is only one way to see if what Steeda claims is true. Dyno before and after. If I didnt run it straight out to the rear I would do dumps like Code3GT did.

Well, obviously me wanting side exhaust is strictly for the "awe factor." Very few people have it around here (only cars are 2 roush clones), so it would stick out a little more, and I like the look of side exhaust. Do you think the differences will be large enough as to where I will regret my decision? Also, can you run a side exhaust with lt headers and a shorty x pipe?

For some reason I am thinking there may be a conflict, maybe i'm crazy lol.

i dont think that will be a problem, i am under the impression that even with side exhaust the exhaust tubing will go to the back axle and pull a u turn to have it come out the side i dont think the path of the exhaust is any shorter if anything maybe longer because of having to come back towards the front of the car to go out the sides. correct me if im wrong guys
