Default Ford Racing B or C Springs?

The only difference is the front spring rate, correct?

Which of these springs would be best suited for a weekend toy. Don't plan on racing it. I just take it out on weekends with the wifey.

Thanks guys!

I think the "C" springs are like the Bullitt or Mach1 springs.
If that is correct, I highly recommend those for your purposes. The drop is only around 3/4", but the handling is much better. What struts/shocks are you putting on?

Actually planned on running the factory strut/shocks for now. My car only has 60K miles on it.

I am planning to do CC plates when I lower it though.

Thanks for the tip!

I had my C springs put on back in late 2008 no complaints for city or highway driving at all so far. http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...-question.html

I have a 2000 Convertible Gt and I used the ford racing B springs. I really like the way it turned out! It's not too rough and it lowered it just enough. It looks so much better!

Do the C springs give a really stiff ride to where your spine feels every bump or are they still a little smooth? Also, are the CC plates necessary or will the alignment be really jacked without them?

I run the B springs, which are fine for me but it is rough on the roads I drive on since there are a lot of pot holes. I also paired them with Bilsteins which make it a little more stiff. It really will depend on where you are driving it and probably the match of struts.

I don't know about the B springs, but the C springs will not ride harshly. The stock Bullitts and Mach1s come with them. You might find the ride isn't quite as good with your original factory shocks. Plan on upgrading your shocks when you can to improve both the ride and handling characteristics.

My shocks/struts are in need of replacing soon anyways so it's going to be a full upgrade when the time comes. But the more I read the more confused I'm getting lol. Seems to be a LOT of choices n options!
