I don't mean to flame, but you once posted that a fwd drive would smoke a stang because fwd gets better traction.
I never said it would smoke it. I said that stang would win. I said it would get off the line better. And I was wrong. I thought both AWD and FWD get off better the RWD, but like I said, I was wrong.

and for me not giving tech advice, that's BS. I just don't give advice when I don't know what I'm talking about.
Okay. I'll give you that.

This will help some. http://popularhotrodding.com/enginem...0108phrbbford/

The 460 was a good engine. It is the base for many hot drag cars. They go into foxes relatively easy, but the 99+ is iffy.

If you have a 460 laying around. Good condition, then it maybe worth it. However if you are wanting to make a street/strip car, why don't you buy a $100 5.4 dohc motor, that needs a rebuild. Put that in. It is only about 1.2 inches taller than the 4.6. (the truck manifold is much higher though) And the 5.4 is the exact same width. Plus the 5.4 is alot lighter than the 429/460. Ya know? But like I said if you have the 460 just laying around... try it.. There is a guy on svtperformance.com that put a 351w in his. It's carbed.
I am currently doing the 5.4 swap, so if you start on your project, keep us updated. Good luck.
