RE: 97 GT totaled
are you sure its 5500 worth of damage??? my bros car (not a mustang) was in a head on collision bent the frame nd destroyed the front was totally fixed for around a little less than $1000 (w.o paint cost) so a hint go to a junk yard find the parts nd put it on yourself and if the frame is bent bring it to a body shop let them straighten it nd then put ur parts on it, shouldnt cost the 5500 they claim it will.

RE: 97 GT totaled
There is NO WAY a car thats in a head on collision would only have 1000 in damage no matter what kind of car it is. Especially with a bent frame. I could see at least 10000. That sounds better.

the car was a 92 nissan maxima nd it cost so little because me and my bro did all the work ourselves, we rebent the frame back to where it was and then founc junk yard part and put them on, it only needed a grille, a bumper, a fender, fog lights, head lights, a radiator, fans, and something that makes the a/c work i think it was freeon? but it all came to a little less than 1000, see it does good to know how to fix a car
