first cool the car off and check your fluid levels.
second. check your thermostat for malfunction, or replace it, its cheap anyway
Run the car with the AC on and inspect to see the fans are turning on as they should.
see if it gets hot with the AC off. The fans SHOULD turn on sooner than usual with the AC on.

if anything else you may have a clog in your coolant system. drain and refill just to be sure. also if your car gets hot pull over and shut it off. DO NOT drive with the car hot, you can warp the heads and/or crack the block, this happened to me.

let us know.

You may have a blown head gasket. Look into your coolant reservoir and see if you see any oil in it. This happened to my friend. His head gasket was blown and leaked oil into the coolant. Causing coolant to be clogged and not getting to the engine. The more he drove it the faster it would heat up.
