Default clutch chatter? help!

So my 2002 gt makes this rattling noise sometimes when I'm in gear, it doesn't seem to onset at any particular time but I don't hear it at all if I step on the gas a little, it seems worse at lower Rpms.

It does it in all gears but not in neutral, is this clutch chatter or does anybody know what it could be? How can I fix this or what would a shop have to do? Is it expensive?

I always thought my clutch was good its very fluid and stiff, it engages pretty quick when I let it off the floor.

With that many miles and prob original. Clutch is probably garbage or close to it. I'd say start saving for a new one

Sounds like a throw out bearing.

Might as well do a new clutch while replacing it

Sounds like your throwout bearing is failing of how you describe it.
While everything is apart to replace your throwout bearing you
mite as well just replace your whole clutch assembly.
Also a great time to replace your old worn clutch cable.
My stock Ford clutch disc looked terrible at 60K miles I couldn't
imagine how worn it would look at 126K miles.

Must be cause you don't know how to drive a stick, ive seen clutches go 200k with no issues.

I have been driving stick for twenty two years now I would think I
know how to drive stick.
Being a master transmission techinican I have seen my share of
clutch related failures and catastrophic failures.
I inspect the clutches on my vehicles if they show signs of wear.
Also the stock clutch disc is not designed to take abuse like
going to the track.I would definitely have a clutch installed
on your vehicle that is designed for the kind of driving you do.

Very interesting considering your track record of posts regarding your clutch, since when did "master transmission techs" ask questions like these, and take thier car to shops for clutch installs.
