Default up and running

the s281 is all set now, everything is in and i got to drive it home. had lots of trouble with that spec 3 clutch, hopefully it will break in to be a bit more tolerable. i definetly can feel the difference in power, i mean obviously going from the 96 v8 to the 01 s281. runs like a new car, no problems at all so far. god i love the way that motor sounds.

Cograts on the new motor. I bet you're glad it's runnig. I know how I get when I'm in the middle of that stuff and I just want it done. Did you have it put on a dyno?

the motor just looks like any 4.6, but it sounds like a frigging monster! i almost shat myself when we first fired it up. it has around 17k miles on it, got it and the supercharger together so i dont really have a price for ya. the spec 3 clutch isnt too bad but when im taking off in first i get this nasty vibration which may be the exhaust rattle ive always had. unless new clutches make this vibration? it only does it when launching in first. i kinda feel like im killing the clutch cause ive been riding it to try and stop the vibration. other than take offs, its not that bad driving around town, id hate to get stuck in traffic though.

well first i put an 01 engine in a 96 and the 01 had an injector rail setup for returnless, which i cant use because my car is a return style system. so i couldnt use that rail, and would have to have my stock rail modified in order to get the blower to work. not to mention i would have had a lot of problems trying to get my custom intercooler to work, and such. it was either wait probably 3-4 more weeks and a thousand dollars more to get it to work or put my other intake manifold on and have it the next day. i can wait untill spring to get a different supercharger. what i need now is a tune and my rear o2s fixed.
