Default Cylinder 8 Misfire

I just purchased an 01 GT Convertible and the next day right after I cranked it a CIL came out. I scanned it and it came back as Cylinder 8 misfire detected. I bought 8 new accell coils and motorcraft platinum plugs and installed them. The car ran fine throughout the next day until midday, i had to turn it over three times for it to start. After it started, it ran fine until I parked it for a few minutes then started it again. While it was idling, the CIL came back on. Is there an engine specific problem with cylinder 8 on the 4.6l. BTW, I replaced the fuel filter as well. I havent ever noticed a problem with the engine stalling, hestitating or rough idle, just the CIL coming on. Could this be an injector that is clogged or improperly working when the car is first started. Tomorrow, I am going to stethoscope the injector. Any reply would be appreciated.

Here is how the misfire monitor works, and here are the possible causes from the shop manual; work the list from the top, though it sounds as though you have already thrown money at the ignition system...

CEL = Check Engine Light (or Lamp)
actually SES (Service Engine Soon) on our cars...
