snapped parking brake cbl.?
Hello,
Nice place here and very informative. I tried a search on the subject and could only find info on a recall for this model year...
I just did a R/R caliper replacement and was sooo happy when i finished that i pulled the park lever too hard and snapped the cable.... GO FIGURE!!!
If someone could tell me, does the spring in the lever need to be rewound and how to do it(tool)... it would be muchly apreciated. BTW it snapped on the brake lever cable, where it attaches to the equalizer for the rear brakes.
Thanks for any help.

RE: snapped parking brake cbl.?
Thanks Jrock,
GRRR,
The only problem i had was detatching the cable from the handle or spring ratchet mechanism.
The cable/pin inlet was directly behind the bracket... just use a flat screwdriver in the spring ratchet gear and pry it to rotate it into position exposing the cable/pin inlet. At least thats how this newbie did it!
Now i'm just waiting for the new cable. No one in Windsor or Detriot has the damn thing!
Hope this helps another green horn out someday!
