i can get a 96 cobra stb for pretty cheap. i placed it in my engine bay and it fits like a glove shape wise however i am not sure how to bolt it to the firewall area? is it supposed to have a bracket or something? also do i need to reach up in the strut tower and place the nuts on the bolts? what size bolts do i need to use? i know i need to drill a few holes but this wont be much of a problem. does the bar actually make a noticeable improvement?

The cars that came from the factory with a STB had weld nuts on the strut tower and firewall. The bolt size is up to you since you have to drill anyway just go down to your local hardware store and find some that fit in the slots on the STB. Try to find some that have the large shoulder with the head of the bolt that way you might be able to get away with no washer on the top
And of course you have to go up through the strut tower with the nuts. How else would you fasten the bolts?
And yes the STB will stiffen the car up
