Default random gauge question

is there a way to make our stock gauges read accuratley? I only really care about the oil pressure and coolant temp. I was thinking gauge overlays (with numbers) and a new sender?? My oil pressure just sits dead center so, does the coolant (once its warmed up) TIA -Dan

As far as I know there is no way to do that, you would not want to replace the senders with a different sender that could not be pluged into your stock computer because it will need to get the info from the units that are on there. BUT what you can do is get a duel gauge pod and add the two gauges that you want. I have added the coolent gauge and I also have a trans temp gauge. I am looking at adding the oil pressure gauge here in the near future. Here is a link that I found to install a oil pressure gauge while keeping your stock one.

Hope this helps

You stated you didn't car about water temp and oil pressure. They are 2 of the most important gauges for monitoring engines vitals and they are the most inaccurate of the bunch.

Thank you JustinGT,
Is this the same on the 03 cobra's as well? I just can't see the point in putting a gauge in a car that doesn't really work. I mean I know why Ford does it, cause the average person.. yada yada
