couple stero issues
Ok this all started from my MACH 460 cd player decided to stop ejecting CDs. When I hit eject you can here all the internals moving around but alas no CD pops out. So I hop on ebay and buy a new(used) one. I got it in today only to discover its in worse shape then mine. I cannot put a CD in it at all, so I assume maybe a CD was already in it. I hit eject and it makes just a little clicking noise, doesn't spit out cds either and I tried looking in there and I think there is a cd in there. Its weird because I can hit play on the new player and a track number pops up and I can go all the way to 99 with it if I hit play again the timer comes up but all its says is 0:00 then after a couple seconds shuts off on its own. Someone is telling me that it maybe because the player came from a 98 mustang and mine is a 99. Which I don't see how that is a problem seeing its the same wiring harness. So does anybody have any idea how I might be able to solve this problem.
Mine does that too. Stupid POS. Eventually I will just get an aftermarket one though, so that problem will be fixed. I just hit the side of it til it pops out. Lets off some of my frustration too.

mine has started doing it as well
i dont know, i get pissed sometimes, but it eventually deiceds to work
maybe its just me, but i think burnt cd's are more likely to get stuck, i had a couple of them not come out for awhile
and the last couple days teh brand new disturbed cd (which is alright) has been fine, comes out all the time
this is cool though, cause i was gonna make a post about this next time it happened

I have got to thinking of putting in after market players. Now I have lots of experiance installing after market cd players in imports, however I have never done a Ford and this current set up I have throws me off a bit. I have that split DIN set up and what would I do? put the cd player in the radio spot then put a blank in the cd receiver spot? I have thought about just putting an indash screen and dvd player. That would be freaking sweet. Do they make those little wiring harnesses to match up aftermarket with the Mach 460?
ok I have decided I will be putting in a dvd player. I am going to put the indash tv in the upper DIN and put the player itself in the lower DIN. Is there any advice or surprises I should know about before I hop in there? I figure I just install the dvd player like a regular headunit with the wiring harness then put the screen in and hook up to a 12v source, a ground, and plug the rca cables in the back of the player. is that pretty much the jist of it or am I missing something?
