I've got a 40th edition GT with the tr3650, just got a new clutch put(exedy mach 350 kit) in and now its making this awful grinding noise while in 5th gear. Car seems to accelerate and be just fine but just makes awful noise. When I take it out of 5th it will do it sometimes while in neutral. I've read it might just be these loud tremecs that do that, but want to see yalls opinions.

I've had two mustangs, both with tr3650's, and both were a little noisey in 5th. I wouldn't describe it as a grinding at all though. It also sounds like it didn't make this noise before, so that's certainly cause for concern.

Well yeah its not the obvious gear grind but it is kind of similar to that, but yes it was NOT doing it before with the older clutch. It was a ram stage 2 clutch.

is it a constant steady noise, or an intermittent noise? Can you feel it through the shifter more than you can hear it?

In my mach 5th has a Whine noise.. But nothing like grinding.. Is it more of an ambient noise that could just be the gears working? Or worse... Record a vid or sound clip mabye.
