Default clutch slipping and high idle

i haven been noticing my rmp's going up in 1st and second for a while but yesterday i started up my car and the idle was at about 1500 when usually about 800. when i put the car in gear and released my foot off the clutch with no gas the car did not stall and instead accelerated to a constant speed. does the idle problem have anything to do with the clutch. thanks

No, clutch is a mechanical issue, idle is more or less probably the IAC.
