Default 1997 Cobra - Front End feels a little loose

I am not picking up any major clunks, and am familar with repairing front ends. Car has 115K.

The front end is drifting a little but the steering still feels good, should I be looking tie rods, control arms, streering rack (hopefully not). Is there a weak point that is a known issue that I need to check?

I want to get this car ready to roll this summer.

What size tires up front and are what condition are they in? Is the car lowered?

Not to be an a$$, but if youre not familiar with whats going on, take the car to a repair shop you trust. They will be able to put the car on lift and check it out for you.

Yes.

Yes there are. Also check ball joints, loose lower strut bolts, loose upper strut mounts/bushings, steering intermediate shaft (the shaft that connects the steering wheel to the steering rack) & worn out struts.

Good luck...

X2. Get some prothane bushings for $15. Cheapest major difference I did to my car and I have about the same mileage.

school boy, thanks for the non help. I am capable of rebuilding the entire car, just checking if there is a known weak spot on the front end.
