Default 2000 GT Sputters when accelerating

for starters i have a 2000 GT with a 4.6 and it has 144,000 on it. the only thing that has been changed is there is SLP load mouth exhaust and a chrome intake put on.

So last summer i was having a problem when i was giving it gas or putting it under a load, it would sputter ( can tell starting in 3rd gear). So i went through and changed all the plugs and ignition coils. Car ran good for about a month or so. Then the same problem started coming back and it threw a CEL. I got it scanned and it said there was a misfire on a cylinder 1. so i changed one of the injectors figuring that would be the problem...didn't help. so i went to the fuel filter and changed that thinking it was probably just plugged...ran a little bit better but it still has that sputter. I am looking for a couple more things that I can do for myself before i bring it in to get looked at.

Does it lose any water? Did you gap the plugs properly? What brand of coil did you use?

Guessing your gap is off then. Plugs don't come pre-gapped.

do you know what the gap is suppose to be. I can check them and see if thats the case, also if i unplug the MAF and take it for a ride will it bypass it or will it just run crappy anyways?

0.52-0.56. Most plugs come gapped around 0.40.
