Default Engine swap help (don't know where to put it)

Hello all,

I do not really know where to ask this but I put it here because I am swapping from a 4.6. I am wondering if any one knows a good, reliable way to make a 460 BB fuel injected? I live in a area that can get pretty cold in the winter and I do not feel like dealing with a carb every morning.

Thanks

P.S. If this needs to go somewhere else I can move it.

A simple search on the internet can provide all the information you need, people been fuel injecting big blocks for years, companies make kits can do what ever you want, throttle body injection, EFI, direct, etc etc. Hell the f250s in the late 90s came with fuel injectoed 460s stock.

Yea I looked around but the ones I found can not support the power I am gonna be putting down. MSD offers the Atomic EFI but it can only support 650 horse, I don't know if that is because of the fuel pump or what, and there are a few others around but most are under 600 horse capable.

Tell me more about this engine combo, heads, cam, valvetrain, etc etc and how much power u plan on making. The 98 f250 with the 460 use the same fuel injector style as my mustang, and with the proper pump and injectors u can go well over 1000rwhp.

It is a Blueprinted CHP Pro-Street short block with 532 C.I. with -3cc flat top pistons, Probe forged steel crank, Probe H-beam rods. For the top end I am flip flopping between FRP Super Cobra Jet heads with 290cc intake runners and a 72cc combustion chamber or Edelbrock Performer RPM heads with 75cc combustion chamber and 310cc intake runners. As far as camshafts I'm gonna be using a CompCams Magnum 294S Street/Strip with intake and exhaust @.050 being 248 and 2500-6500 RPM power range.

Thanks for your input so far man!

What kind of fuel are you going to be running for one, just an FYI I am currently building a big inch 460 based stroker as well, and based on what your running right not your not going to be in the 650 range.

What kind of compression are you aiming for? 77cc chambers are big for a N/A motor unless you plan on running boost in which case carry on.
