Pony won't start
Hey all, I'm a new member. I've been driving my 2000 GT for several months now with no problems. Last week, I drove a mile down the street to the gas station. Car was running fine. I filled it up, and put a quart of oil in it. When I tried to start it up again, my check engine light was on, and it wouldn't start. It would begin to turnover, with a strained chugging sound, then screech and cut out completely. I had it towed home, and I've tried a couple things to get it started, but no luck. it doesn't screech anymore, just rumbles one time when I turn the key. I just put a brand new battery in, so that isn't the problem. Also, everyone keeps asking me if I put diesel in it by mistake. I DID NOT. I'm fairly new to working on mustangs, so if there's any other information I should post, let me know. Any tests, fixes, or diagnoses are appreciated. Help me get this fixed so I can stop driving my brother's Chevy...

sounds like a starter, thats my prediction. Unless you put diesel in the engine -_- jk
If you have power at the starter, i mean full power, try cranking it and see what the voltage drops down to. More the 10 is bad to me, not pulling past 11.5 is bad. If you can turn the engine over at all i dont think its engine related. If the starter starts to do something and stops but has power then i am really leaning towards the starter. Sometimes they just poop
