Default heater core symptoms

My heater core went out (I think) a few weeks ago. I had coolant leaking in my drivers floor from where the vent is at your feet. So I bypassed it so I could keep driving my car. The heat still worked in my car when it was leaking. But my question is on lmr.com it says the symptoms of a leaking one is that it'll leak onto the passenger side floor. I had nothing in my passenger floor. It was dry. So is it really my heater core?

It is the heater core, it can leak on either side...

Okay thanks. another concern is, after this happened to me. I shampooed my carpet, went ahead and did the whole car while i was at it, and that was a few weeks ago, and its definitely dry by now, but it was really cold this morning and there frost on everything including my windshield. and the inside of my windows were frozen! how is this possible? later on in the day it was melting and dripping down behind the dash, and on the black ring (i dont know what it is) around the windshield it left like a white-ish yellow-ish looking color that dryed up on it.

*when the core went out, i cleaned and wiped everything to get the coolant off. dash, windows, floor. and its just now starting to freeze on the inside dont know why.
