cutting springs
hey guys, my friend keeps telling me that cutting springs is not such a bad idea, and i think its pretty dangerous. I want to buy me some Eibach springs and he sais just cut them. I have a friend with cut springs and he likes it. I know its better to buy springs duh, but iam just talking about cutting them. Let me know

its not really dangerous to cut thet springs if you do it right. 1 take them out of the car(a lot of people will leave the spings in the car and cut them) 2 use a cut off wheel don't take a torch to the spings it can cause them to loose there temper and break. 3 don't cut too much. if you springs are too short then they can cause you problems.
advantages to cut spings 1 cheap
disadvantages 1 same spring rate with more likely to hit the bump stops. 2 can some times cause poping or creaking noises.
if it was me i would just buy a set of spings i think you can buy ford motorsports springs form summitracing for like 150 dollars.

wow all the tricers round here are the ones cutting their springs. def just go buy some eibachs or look at some other company brands. i was behind a car with cut springs and the thing was bouncing everywhere. it looked stupid following it. its just the ghetto *** way to do it. just soend a few hundred bucks and do it right.

i saw this mexican guy in a LT1 style 6cylinder camaro with cut springs and his front bumper was bouncing up and down and occasionally it would hit the road. he was going like 70 on a highway
