What is a 2001 4.6 worth?

almost new...3k miles with all accessories (waterpump, alternator, intake,etc.)

only 3k? on 01?... id say prob 20k maybe more maybe less. i know 01-02 gts with 35k miles on them go for about 17k so i dunno guessing $18-$21

A premium gt for that year would be around 12000. If its a deluxe, then its worth less.

the engine alone is worth about $5k, the whole car is worth about $12,500

My apologies...I am talking about just the engine. I should have been more clear.

out of a 2001 Crown Victoria...sitting in a crate right now.

I guess a better question would be ....

will an 01 Crown Victoria 4.6 fit a 1999 GT. Seems to be some division in the 1999-2004 range:

99-00

01-04

not sure what the differences would be.

Yes, it will fit fine. The question you should ask is whether or not it will mount up to the mustang tranny. Im not entirely sure of the answer to your question so Ill divert it to the next person who can give you an exact answer. Also...the cams in the crown vic and mustang are different I know that much. Are you planning on putting a new engine in your mustang or selling this new engine? Good luck!
