Default Ford Racing 24# injectors

Looking for some feedback on these.....my stang has just bolts ons, CAI, exhaust, fresh plugs and accel coils, bama tune...and Im wondering if its worth the $$ and effort to swap to these injectors. Not running forced induction i dont see a need but wondering if the better flow will make any performance difference? And yes I know the car has to be tuned after, not worried about that, just wondering if this is a waste of time

no, it will make zero more power, the only reason to ever add flow rate to injectors is if you drastically increase the amount of air that is entering the engine, like form the addition of a turbo, supercharger, heads and cams

only reason I would upgrade injectors is if there duty cycle was exceeding 85%
19 pounder support 258.4 hp, @ 85% duty cycle, 24s 326 @ 85%.

and less hp on forced induction motors.

max safe hp=[(ejector size)x (total number of ejectors)x (max duty cycle)] /bsfc.

IDK, in 2003 Ford put "Pink" 21 lb/hr injectors in the GT's I have a set and will be installing them shortly.

Like Jwogg said No real power to be had But like chipss36 said any time you can reduce duty cycles and develop better/more consistent spray patterns it really should run a little bit better.

Assuming you are talking about the ev6 Ford Racing 24 lb/hr injectors you will need to change the connectors as well.

FYI for 21 lb/hr no tune required, from everything i have read even the 19lb/hr injectors run pig rich at WOT in the 4.6l Mustangs

Just don't think it's worth the investment but that's my opinion

Thanks for the replies; Im gonna hold off until I add forced induction (although I may not want to put that much more money into this car)
