Reverse lights won't turn off
Hi guys,
My reverse lights won't turn off, I'm hoping you can help me find out why.
(5 speed standard trans)
I removed, cleaned and tested the reverse switch on the transmission. It worked for a few weeks and now the problem has returned and the lights are always on.
I suspected the switch again, but testing it with my multi meter, seems the switch is working fine. So how are these lights getting power past the switch?
From my manual, the wiring goes from the reverse lights to a wire that goes straight to the switch on the transmission then to the fuse panel. So the only way it could get power is from the switch, or am I missing a loopback somwhere?
Does the neutral safety switch or clutch safety switch tie into this wiring somehow?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much for confirming the wiring. So it HAS to be the switch then.
All the wiring between the switch and the rear lamps look perfect, so instead of trying to clean it again, i'll just replace it. I've just unplugged the wires that go to the switch for now.
Thanks again!
