Default TPS sensor low circuit

Even though I have not fixed this yet would it be ok to drive like this until I have time to fix it?

Throttle Position Sensor... You should probably get that fixed... Your A/F ratio is going to be off unless at WOT (which won't read properly because your TPS is messed up )

Now if I installed a bbk tb with out the black ring it comes with and installed the tps sensor would this cause the sensor to go bad at all?

Also with the tps sensor I did not have the little black piece that came with the bbk tb on at the time. Would the tps sensore get messed up at all?

the only thing to do to make ti better is a ride to the parts store.
