Finally got me another stang! Pic heavy
I was pumped couldn't really look it over at night but i was up this morning with the chickens. I has a few blems on it but nothing major. Overall i think it was a pretty good buy. 5K 1 owner and a lot of maintenance history.
I have a couple issues that i'm hoping you all can help me with.
1. ABS and traction control lights are illuminated.
2.The trunk mat was pretty damp/wet so i gave her a wash this morning and from what i can figure it must be leaking from the convertible top somewhere. Is this a normal thing?
3 Is there any way to figure out the width of the rear wheels without pulling the tires off? Because these 245 rears have to go immediately.
I installed this morning
Steeda Tri short shifter
honeycomb rear
mach 1 grill delete
smoked 3rd brake
8 inch antenna
lower valance black out ( I have to order a new one I f'ed this one up lol)
I still have in the garage to install
H&R SS Springs
front and rear isolators
mach 1 Chin

Nice buy, congratulations.
Those wheels are 17x8. You can put 275/40 on them, not a textbook correct fit for an 8" wide wheel and the sidewalls will bulge outward slightly but I can assure you it will work just fine. Honestly though, just save up for some 17x10.5 or 18x10's. It's what you're gonna end up doing eventually anyway.
ABS.... You need a scantool capable of reading "chassis" codes. Most common ones only read powertrain. Look on Amazon, been a while but I have seen several that were under $100. There is almost no other way to properly diagnose it unless you get lucky and can see something damaged somewhere.
For the water, mine collects a little in the convertible top well behind the rear seat. I just stuff a towel in there when I'm done washing and soak it up, never really cared to deal with it and it only happens when I wash the car. But since your's is leaking into the trunk and could cause some other issues like your stuff getting wet or maybe mold or something, see if one of your little guys from those pics wouldn't mind climbing in there with a flashlight and looking around while you run some water over the car.

They should be, sounds like a couple have been replaced over the years. Unless you're having any ignition related issues though I wouldn't worry about it unless it's one of those OCD things that wakes you up in the middle of the night. If you decide to replace, it is widely accepted that oem Motorcraft are of the best quality. FWIW, I had to do it on the cheap years ago, found a set on Ebay from AIP Electronics (dunno if they're still around or not) that are still on there over 5 years later without issues. Think the whole set of 8 was tossed on my doorstep for about $75.
