Default 2000 Mustang gt needs new engine looking for ideas 5k budget

i have a 2000 Ford Mustang gt with a spun bearing looking for ideas to get it running again stock mostly other the cold air intake and flow masters. I’d like to stick too my budget of 5k

I would not bother with a $5000 budget, I'd get another one.

For 5K, you can buy a Gen5 V6. One like mine just sold for $3000, all it needed
was a fender.

There was a yellow '05 V6 Fake GT for $3500 on FB Marketplace.

Guy here was selling a nice blue 2012 for $6800, ah, he's down to $6000:

You can do a 4v swap for less than 5k. I just did mine for right around 3.5k.

3k for the engine, Mach I hood and snorkel setup and 400.00 for the SCT Tuner, (which I didn't need) and $100.00 for the Cobra exhaust manifolds.
