Default Will this help me? (Locker)

Hello!
I have been reading in last months issue of Fast Fords Muscle Mustangs... (the shootout they had with all the "GTs")
and almost all of them(think everyone did) had a different POSI then the stock one.
Most had "Detroit Lockers" I think some had the "TrueTrack" or something like that as well.

well... I am getting my 4.10's installed- so should I buy a Detroit Locker to put in there too?
I mean what is the advantage to switching out the stock posi?
Is it needed?

PLEASE help out...

THANKS!

If your car has under 60000 miles on it, just put in the gears, thats all you need to do. If it is over 60000 you need the master bearing kit. Thats all youreally need to do.

^haha nice car, same as mine (color and all) except im auto.

So no need to put in a detroit locker then?

most of those cars in the magazine... had around (15-30k miles on them)

yeah im at 9k miles... so I won't need the bearing kit.

OK thanks for the help.

lockers can be a little moody on the street. they work fine but for the most part the stock unit will work jsut fine just put a rebuild kit in it.

Detroit lockers have the distinctive clicking noise when going around corners. They also don't offer you good hard steering.
