Default 2000 GT Vert

I just bought a 2000 Mustang GT that is a convertible and to make my parents fell more comfortable I'm going to put in a 4 point roll bar that has a built in harness bar. I am thinking about putting in 4 or 5 point harnesses does anybody know if i can do that with the stock leather seats or would i have to got to a aftermarket seat?

I would probably just go with one of those style bars from AM if it’s really that much of a thing, cheaper and you don’t have to hack the whole interior apart. You will need to upgrade seats for a harness but if your not doing anything competition wise and are good with factory seats I really wouldn’t bother

I looked at the styling bars but I don't really like the look of them and its just plastic so it doesn't really stiffen the chassis up and if I rollover I'm ****ed. for $100 more I can get a shop right down the road from me to bolt in a custom 4 point roll bar with removable harness bar. He also said that he could cut the plastics so that its very nice looking and it doesn't look like your uncle Jim did it.

I don't car for the styling of the "light bar" myself, but so you know, they are NOT plastic, they are steel bars with a plastic covering. They are not sold as "roll bars" due to liability issues, but they do provide some stiffening of the chassis, and should provide some roll-over protection, although you would have to work really hard to get a 2000 GT to rollover.

lol i think my mom is most worrried because she had a 89 foxbody vert and she flipped it. only difference between me and her is that she was doing her makeup while driving and i just like to drive fast in the mountains and she is just afraid that ill have understeer and roll down the mountain.
