Default I need help 4.6 timing guide broke with loud tapping

Ive seen a bunch of threads on here about chain issues/oil pressure issues etc. Not sure what is going on with my car. 2004 mustang gt 4.6 SOHC. The other day I went to the grocery store and when I came out and started the car I heard this god awful knocking/tapping noise. I stupidly drove the car home 10 mins, but it ran fine other than the loudest tapping I've heard a car make. I pulled the valve cover on drivers side and saw the guide had broken (common issue from forums I've read) So I pulled everything apart and the chains still had tension. Only the one guide broke so I went to ford and asked them about a timing kit. They said they don't sell it as a kit because you should just replace parts as needed. So I only replaced the guides, rails and tensioners. The engine seems totally fine other than that guide breaking (shouldn't have caused the engine to jump timing) and honestly (if it jumped timing Im sure I wouldn't have been able to drive the car home) It did run slightly rough but not crazy. Just the loud tapping noise.

After replacing the components mentioned above it sounds exactly the same, but again, the car fired right up and sounded great (no miss, no CEL) other than this tapping. I feel like there's something stupid that's causing it. Could it be debris in the pick up tube? is there a way to check without dropping the oil pan? Ive seen some people mention an oiler under the valve cover with a port that gets plugged? I didn't see it on the drivers side?

If someone can help steer me in the right direction. I'm pretty screwed without a car and wasted money on the tensioners and rails and guides I just purchased. Again, the chains were totally tight, the tensioners had plenty of tension and nothing else was worn except that broken guide. Also I drove the car home... not a rocket scientist but I'm pretty sure having at least one bent valve from potential jumped timing would have made it a pretty rough ride, if the car would even stay running at that point. I'm thinking it's lifters or some type of oil issue. Just not sure where to go from here. all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
