Mild porting of your upper intake is worth 10hp alone. If you plan or can afford buying a new mass air meter you can go ahead and get a larger throttle body, but I wouldn't suggest doing this unless you get rid of your stock exhaust manifolds, as your engines air intake will increase but won't have the ability to push the exhaust fumes out fast enough.

the maf is the first thing to change on the intake side as well as the piping to the t/b then put in a laerger t/b then a nice intake port match and then 1.7 rockers to increase flow

the best things for your intake is: First do change the Mass Air Meter for some reason Ford doesn't like to use the Meter that should be on the car, to begin with. Second: do the throttle body. If you don't plan on alot of Mods to your car go with a 70 mm tb. If you got big plans go with a 75mm tb. Then jump to the upper intake. If the best intake for your money is the new Trick Fow upper intake. It just came out. Summit Racing carries them They are $120.00. And they flow the same as the C&L upper intake thats is $200.00. If you port the stock intake, it won't be a true 75mm all the way through. Hope this helps you out.
