What trasmission would I use for a 96 GT manual tramission swap?

what type of manual transmission should I put into my 96 gt

the stock 5 speed in a 96 would be a T-45 tansmission. If you are willing to spend some real money you could but a T-56 kit, which is a 6 speed tranny that can hold quite a bit more power then the t-45.

sell it and buy a gt with a manual in it. itll be cheaper, easier, you wont have any time when your car is in pieces.

yea but this car is in mint condition and I love it and its hard to find another manual mustang that is in as good a condition as this one is, it would also be costly because of all the taxes and **** on it, I also have a family friend who is a mechanic who would do it at a discounted price and plus I would know nobody beat on the transmission
