I have a 2001 Automatic with overdrive andI was just wondering if someone could tell me about it and what shift kits for the tranny I should buy and how they work.</P>

B&amp;M makes a nice kit. There are a couple of them out there. But B&amp;M is the most common.

B&amp;M is junk!Go with a TCI or a TRANSGO.B&amp;M kits are weak and very s**tty.</P>

About your tranny its an AUTOMATIC OVERDRIVE 4 speed thats electronically controlled.Theyre a descent tranny but theyre pigs and heavy as all hell!So that means they suck up a little extra horsepower.But all in all theyre a very nice tranny and have been around a while.Yours is just an updated version of the old AOD but instead of running off a THROTTLE VALVE cable its line pessure is controlled and shifted electronically.
