Default Possible Rebuild?

I've found a real nice 1996 cobra in my area, really nice condition overall, and modded, but also has a relatively high amount of miles (108,000).

My question is, is it feasible to rebuild a 4.6 once the mileage gets to be too much? Or should I just keep shopping? The only reason i'm still interested is that it's a very good price, and extremely sexy.

Default RE: Possible Rebuild?

108k isn't really that high on a 4.6l they hold up very well but if you want to rebuild you can go ahead and toss in a set of h-beam rods and forged pistons. it already has a steel crank. and then you would have a bottome end that would hold 6-700 hp.

the only down side to rebuilding a mod motor is that it can be hard to find a place to do some of the machine work. here in arkansas the only place i know that does the blocks is Kieth Craft[:'(]
