Default Gears for GT

Just bought a 02 GT manual, what kind of gears should I get? 3.73, 4.10, or 4.30??

I was unhappy with 4.10's in my 03 5-speed and half my 30min ride to and fromn work is @ 70mph on the highway....DO NOT waste your time with 3.73s [&:]

4.10's at the least, preferably 4.30's.

I had them in my 02 GT and they are surprisingly streetable. It was easier to drive then when I had 4.10's in my car and driving my buddies 04 GT with stock gears was a joke after that...

I love how everyone says this. There is NOT that big of a difference between the two gears. And for the thousandth time, it makes a difference what year car you have and how much highway driving you are intending to do.

Honestly, I really don't want my first gear any steeper than it already is anyway. In the average street race, where I don't have time to warm up the tires, I have a hard enough time with traction as it is.

And if a person doesn't intend to start running a drag radial type tire, this problem would turn into a nightmare. With my 3.73s and my old BFG regular tires, I had serious problems with the 1-2 shift. The car would spin hard in 2nd and then bog really bad.

i have motive 4.10s. i wish i went with 4.30s. i love the motives they have no whine at all and are made outta great material i find them to be indestructable. but most ppl will recommend frpp i dunno why though they are no better than motive.

I am happy with my 3.73s. Enough to make a difference, not enough to keep a 90mph runs on the interstate too bothersome...which I do frequently.
