pi intake...
ok im on my way to getting everything i need for the full swap... ive heard u can use the intake without the heads... whats else would i need and what kind of pwergains would i see? is this a diy or should a shop be better? let me know i have the week off and would love a little project

You need: PI intake manifold,a new water pipe to clear the deeper plenum, a new pipe for the water pump interface tot he water pipe mentioned above, new intake gaskets and a host of screws for the assembly. You can buy all of this in one kit at places like Livernois, or just the manifold at a place like mustang tuning
As for the project itself...it requires some knowlege about cars, so if youve never done much of anything to an engine I would suggest taking it somewhere for installation. However, if you do have some time to yourself and want to learn about engines, this is certainly a doable job. Good luck

if you got the time, go for it yourself. its really not that bad, just to make things easier get the full kit with the water hose and such otherwise you'll have to get creative. also you wanna make sure the crossover has the same tap by the thermostat housing (some of the pi manifolds dont have them and you need to drill one) power gains arent that big, i hear anything around 10 hp. have fun!
