Burning platic kinda smell.
I just installed BBK cermaic longtube headers, bbk x-pipe with cats, and a new spec stage 1 clutch. I resurfaced the flywheel, put a new pilot bearing in and throwout bearing in. I have about 60 miles with these new parts on and sometimes I get this weird smell like its burning plasit or something. I dont know where its coming from. Or it kinda smells like buring transmission fluid. I put royal purple sycromax, fluid in. I also used rubbing alcohol 70% Isopropyl on the flywheel and pressure plate to clean it. Is this just a normal smell when breaking in the headers and x-pipe. I have installed a clutch before, but have never smelled anything like this. Does anyone have any ideas?

RE: Burning platic kinda smell.
Make sure there's no hoses or anything resting against the headers or X-pipe.If there's no hoses being burned then its more than likely just the coatings burning off the exhaust.Nothing to worry about it will go away in a few miles. When I had the Bassani headers and catted X-pipe installed it took about a week for them to stop smelling.
