Default Torque box reinforcement

When is it recommended to reinforce your torque boxes. How much hp/torque before you should worry about doing this, or before which mods should this be done?

There is no set HP/Torque level in which you will damage them. When you start running DR/Slicks with Lower and Upper Control arms and Launching at a hefty four grand, you will want to have plates welded in.

Thank you. Getting gears tommorrow installed so i have been thinking what I would need next. Im will be getting dr's, but that will probly be a little while. I want full subframes before getting the dr's.
So I will just get the control arms and torque box reinforcements at the same time of the subframes. Then get the dr's when i burn these tires i have now up[sm=gears.gif]

UPR makes torque box kits. You can usually find kits on ebay, too.

Instead of buying the kit to weld in, you could also have someone continue the weld around the torque box to sregthen it up since its not fully welded.
